Eevee = cute
This weekend, I got to carve a pumpkin for the 3rd time. I love doing artsy stuff like this, and I’m glad my wife got me into it. We were dating when she first introduced pumpkin carving to me and I’ve been able to do every single one with her since then. I think we missed a year though

Domo-stein
This year, I thought I’d challenge myself with something a little more intricate than the ready-made stencil that comes with the toolkit. 4 years is quite some time to gain experience (even though it’s really only once a year). Since I’ve been in a Pokemon moo. I saw some pretty legendary carving skills and just had to push my limit a little. Outcome, pretty legendary if I don’t say so myself.
Prepping for the carving
My wife also carved Domo. It’s not her favorite character, but it’s definitely one of her top. She put her own twist into it and created Domo-stein! We definitely had a good laugh with it.
I can’t take all the credit myself, since I did not create the awesome Eevee picture. I found the Eevee stencil using Google searching “Eevee stencil” images. Came across Onee-chan160‘s image and just knew it was too awesome to pass. Looking through the stencils that she created, I was actually conflicted between Eevee and Flareon. As you can see, my decision was clear.
I got Onee-chan160′s permission to use her image and went right to work. I had to trace the original image and make some modification so that the tail wouldn’t fall off.

Sorry that the outline isn’t too visible. But after a lot of hole-poking, I started my journey. The following are images of progression. There shouldn’t be much to tell ^_^

At first I had Eevee with full body blocked, but the lighting didn’t come out as desired, so I decided to take on the challenge of making it look cooler like all the other carving I’ve seen… peeling out the thick skin so some light would shine on it.
