Today is my sister’s birthday. Technically yesterday, since it is 1:23 AM. She turns 21. It’s definitely a big turning point and she’s going to be considered an adult now. A lot of people say 18, but if you can’t drink when you’re 18, I don’t think you should consider 18 an adult, since they’re not trusted to drink at that age. At least that’s what it says to me when the drinking age is 21.
Not only that, I have been accepted as a Junior Web Designer. A career job, full time employment. I have learned so much working at UCF, now it’s time I go out and show the world who I am and what I can do ^_^. The reason I have not been posting at all, well, they’re just excuses. Once again, my random time to stop posting entries to my blog effects the readers I’m sure. I don’t think I should ever promise to keep up with the blog post. I know I’ll come back to it eventually, just don’t know how long.
So, here it is. I will be working at my new place in about 2 weeks, after I put in my 2 weeks notice. It’s sad to leave the place that I’ve worked for 1 year and 2 months. I’ve learned a lot and I’ve experienced a lot. Now I get to experience more and learn even more. Well, also at the same time showing what I’ve learned and contribute what I know.
God has definitely blessed my life. I have to say that not only my jobs, but my entire life, I’m at the right place at the right season of my life. Sure, heartache and pain happens a lot, but what is life without the pain. I am not Matthew Wong unless I have experienced the ups and downs of the life I’ve gone through. Definitely mostly ups, but the downs have brought me to maturity that I could only fathom having if I did not experience all the sadness in my life.
So, to a new beginning, to my sister’s birthday, I have decided to make an account on Twitter. Yup, I have evaded Twitter until now. I have yet to write anything or follow anyone. I have only updated some of my information. I think I’ll let it sit a couple of weeks before I start writing something. I’m thinking of a direction that I want to go with it and I’m not sure. Until then, I suppose blog is still my favorite online updates. Since I do like to say so much.
My quote of today, in response to Twitter: “Twitter is for people who have nothing to say but want to say so much about it.” Of course that’s not the case for everyone, but I have a feeling that it’s heading in that direction >_<. I hope I don’t end up that way. I used to write entries for my blog that way on xanga.com. Man, that brings back memories. Anyway, I don’t anymore, but I still write about nothing and everything about me at this point. We’ll see where it goes.
