My Shelf

I’m taking a break from sound editing project. Unless you can seat hours upon hours listening to the same thing over and over and over again (no exaggeration), sound engineer is not what you want to do. Same goes for video editing, except it’s not as crazy as sound editing. I think the sound is more detailed than what a lot of people realized. I so happen to watch a little of the Oscar the other day and Bourne Ultimatum was the winner for both sound mixing and editing. Ever since this class, I’ve found more respect with the engineers mixing and editing sounds. Hours upon hours just sitting there listening to the same thing. I bet they could say every line to the movie… and more if they wanted to. I wouldn’t mind if I were to be in a team with other people, but if I did it alone, which is what I’m doing now (and it’s all elementary stuff now), I would go insane (not saying that I’m not already insane, but anymore and I might be a little nutty).

I don’t think I ever mentioned it during my birthday, but I got a shelf for my birthday (Thank you Philip and Alisa). The dates on the pictures are off. For some reason, my camera decided not to update the date and stayed that way for about 2 months. That’s about how long I haven’t used my camera… I think. Anyway, this is a story about my shelf and how it’s finally come to pass that I own one ^_^

I was tired by the time I got this much done.
I think it took me about 30 minutes. Maybe 45 X_x

The back was the easiest part. Here’s are two pictures.

Finally, it’s up and ready to be used… but what should I put?

So, I promised my girl I wouldn’t be staying up writing for my blog, but in order to continue the night of sound editing project, I have to take breaks and do something that I know will make me more awake than before ^_^ Posting entries for my blog of course. Well, the next post will definitely go back in time… back to Halloween… woooo. If there was some way of typing those so that they look scary, like the fonts in Scooby-doo.

Some other presents include a monkey plush and an awesome painting of things that I like by my girl. She definitely went overboard with it, but I love it very much ^_^

Well, I’ve got to get back to my project. Looking forward to show you my carving skills in the next entry. God bless!
